ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Shri Siddhagiri Sansthan Math, Kaneri established Shri Siddhagiri College of Veterinary Science (SSCVS), at Village Kaneri, Kolhapur (Maharashtra) is in the serene and green lush campus of 250 acre. The college is provisionally affiliated with the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU), Nagpur. It is a matter of great pride that Veterinary Council of India (VCI), under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India, New Delhi has included Shri Siddhagiri College of Veterinary Science, Kolhapur in The first schedule published in The Gazette of India No. —- Dated April–, 2026, New Delhi. The College follows course curriculum as per minimum standards of veterinary education-2016 prescribed by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) New Delhi. The five story building is available for teaching, research and extension education with most modern clinical, para-clinical and production departments. This building is housing an independent departments of first year course with sitting rooms, research labs, store and office accommodations. Two spacious lecture halls that accommodate 100 students in each and are provided with audio-visual aids, good lighting and ventilation. The college possesses well equipped spacious laboratories with highly qualified and experienced faculty members of national and international repute. The construction of new College building is also in progress that accommodates all the Departments and common facilities. Educational tours to different Veterinary colleges, National Research Centers, Government farms, stud farms, dairy plants, slaughter houses, zoo and national parks are the part of the curriculum. Extracurricular activities such as games, sports, NSS, cultural and literary competition for all round growth and development of the students are the integral part of ongoing academic activities of SSCVS.

Dear Students,
Welcome to Shri Siddhagiri College of Veterinary Science, Kaneri Math (Kolhapur). This Veterinary College and Hospital is considered as one of the prestigious institutions in the country, recognized by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), New Delhi and affiliated by Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Science University (MAFSU), Nagpur.
Good health has become utmost important not just for human being but also for soundless being. The veterinary and animal science plays a very important role in diagnosis, treatment, production and conservation of livestock.
The college aims at imparting excellent quality veterinary education and research that markedly improves the animal health and cater to the need of all stakeholders. Our college blends traditional veterinary wisdom with modern educational techniques to nurture the next generation of veterinary professionals who promoting the human-animal bond and protecting animals from suffering through advanced diagnostics and treatments.

Dean's Message
Animal wealth is national wealth. Now a days this statement holds good, because of the pivotal role of animals, they are playing in providing the sustainable livelyhood security of the rural mass.
Shri Siddhagiri college of veterinary science is very well equipped with all the facilities land, animal components, laboratories, classrooms, well experienced teaching faculty and dedicated supporting staff and others to impart the very much needed theoretical knowledge and practical training to the students of B.V.SC. & A.H.
To support the already existing aims and objectives of the sansthan math, along with its spiritual fundamental rules added with scientific and advanced modern technology there is more scope to train the graduates to suit themselves to the need of the hour.
Dairying is the only business on the earth which can provide money twice in a day to a dairyman incase he sells milk on cash basis (i.e., morning and evening).
Also animal component is considered as a finance minister of each house which keeps animals. They provide us the money easily if we care them promptly and honestly.
